The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled night off Thursday and will be back on their home field tonight to open a three-game set with the Minnesota Twins. Bryce Elder will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta. Chris Paddack will head to the mound for Minnesota. First pitch is slated for 7:15 pm at Truist Park. The Braves’ series against the Twins will continue through this weekend and will be followed by a three-game set with the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night through Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta.
The Rome Emperors fell to the Asheville Tourists by 5-0 on Thursday night in the third outing of a six-game set at AdventHealth Stadium. That allowed Asheville to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Game four is scheduled for tonight at 7 pm.
