The Atlanta Braves lost to the Philadelphia Phillies by a final score of 4-3 on Wednesday night in the middle outing of a three-game National League East set at Truist Park. That series is now even at 1-1.
The game remained scoreless until the sixth. Bryson Stott got the Phillies on the board in the top of the inning with an RBI single. The Braves notched a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single from Orlando Arcia and a sac fly from Michael Harris II. Philadelphia surged ahead with a two-run homer by Bryce Harper in the top of the seventh. Atlanta tied it up at 3-3 with a solo shot from Austin Riley in the bottom of that inning.
However, Trea Turner put the Phillies ahead once more with a solo home run off Raisel Iglesias in the top of the ninth. They would go on to win the game, again, by a final score of 4-3.
Iglesias was charged with the loss for Atlanta, while Jose Alvarado picked up the win for Philadelphia.
