OPENING DAY IS RAPIDLY APPROACHING FOR THE ATLANTA BRAVES AND ROME EMPERORS

The Atlanta Braves wrapped up Spring Training on Tuesday with a loss to the Chicago Cubs by 4-2 out in Mesa, AZ.

Up next – Opening Day! The Braves will open their 2025 regular season on Thursday afternoon in San Diego, CA versus the Padres. First pitch is slated for 4:10 pm. Listen to play-by-play coverage from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 2:55 pm.

The Braves will begin the season with four games in San Diego through this Sunday, followed by three outings in Los Angeles, CA with the Dodgers next Monday through Wednesday. Their home opener is set for Friday, April 4th at Truist Park in Atlanta against the Miami Marlins.

The road to Atlanta includes a stop in Rome. Some of the players featured on Atlanta’s Opening Day roster played here in Rome as recently as last season, like Spencer Schwellenbach. The Rome Emperors will honor Schwellenbach with his own Bobblehead Night at AdventHealth Stadium on Saturday, April 19th.

Gavin Booker, play-by-play announcer for the Emperors on MiLB.tv, attests that Schwellenbach has seen the bobblehead – and he likes it!

Rome’s 2025 season opener is scheduled for Friday, April 4th at home versus the Winston Salem Dash. For tickets, visit www.goemperors.com.
