RCS STUDENTS FARE WELL IN STATE TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION

Several Rome City Schools recently competed against the state’s best at the Georgia Student Technology Competition with two students placing.

Main Elementary’s Jonathan Attiglo placed second in the state in device modification in the third and fourth grade division.

East Central’s Paelyn Peck placed third in the state in productivity design in the third and fourth grade division.

Other Rome City Schools students competing in the state competition included Elm Street’s Yaretzi Hernandez, and West Central’s Samuel Ramirez Rojas and Stefany Pelico.

“We knew when we held our district technology competition in December that there were a ton of great projects advancing to the regional competition,” John Fricks, Director of Instructional Technology, Safety, and Operations, said. “We are proud of these students for working hard and participating in this competition.”
