Early voting in the Special Election to fill the vacancy on Post 4 of the Floyd County Commission will be offered over the next three weeks at the county’s Elections Office, 18 East 12th Street in Rome. Registered voters may cast an early ballot on weekdays between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm from February 24th through March 14th, as well as the next two Saturdays (March 1st and 8th) from 9 am until 5 pm and on Sunday, March 9th from 1 pm until 5 pm. Polls county-wide will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, March 18th, from 7 am until 7 pm.
Candidates include Shonna Bailey, Chip Hood, Tonya Eden Shepard, David Thornton, and Corey Townsend.
