GNTC AWARDS SYNOVUS SCHOLARSHIPS

Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) announces the recipients of the Synovus Scholarship for spring 2025.

This scholarship supports students with financial need in the following counties with a Synovus branch: Floyd, Gordon, Walker and Whitfield.

“We are so proud of these deserving Georgia Northwestern Technical College students, and we thank Synovus for being such a fine partner in education” said Lauretta Hannon, executive director of Institutional Advancement at GNTC. “We simply couldn’t do it without support like this from Synovus.”

Listed are students chosen for GNTC’s Synovus Scholarship for spring 2025 showing (from left) the student’s name, program of study and GNTC campus: Ethan Cameron, Drafting Technology, Walker County Campus; Ana Molina, Health Care Management, Whitfield Murray Campus; Yazmin Orozco, Healthcare Billing Coding Specialist, Gordon County Campus; and Betty Whitehead, Business Healthcare Technology, Walker County Campus.

“The mission of Synovus is to promote the financial and economic health of individuals, businesses, communities and stakeholders, and we believe this scholarship furthers our mission and vision for northwest Georgia,” said Bill Davies, northwest Georgia/Chattanooga market executive for Synovus.

“Georgia Northwestern Technical College has always been a beacon of hope for students who choose to further their education and career through technical opportunities,” Davies said.
