NEW ECHOTA STATE HISTORIC SITE TO PARTICIPATE IN ‘SUPER MUSEUM SUNDAY’ ON FEBRUARY 9TH

Announcement from New Echota State Historic Site:

New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic Site will be hosting ‘Super Museum Sunday’ on February 9th, 2025, 9:00am-5:00pm, all admission fees will be waived for this event. This event is a state-wide effort in conjunction with the Georgia Historical Society, Coca-Cola, and SouthState. Explore history, arts, and culture in communities throughout Georgia, including here at New Echota-Cherokee Capital. Park Rangers and Friends of New Echota invite the public to our site for a day full of demonstrations and guided tours. Demonstrations and open tours will be ongoing by our Rangers and volunteers from 10:00a.m.-3:00p.m. Visitors will learn about the Cherokee culture and the history of New Echota-Cherokee Capital. Demonstrations will include weapons of the Cherokee, cooking of the early 1800s, and printing in our very own print shop. Admission fees will be waived for all visitors for the day.
