Rome’s MLK Commission invites the public to a host of events to celebrate the life and legacy of late Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. starting on Friday, January 17th and continuing through Monday, January 20th (MLK Day). Here’s the slate of activities, courtesy of the Commission:

Alvin Jackson, event co-organizer, believes that it is important to continue to share King’s message of peace.
Sundai Stevenson, also an event co-organizer, attests that it is now up to us to continue King’s legacy; that is the purpose of the MLK Weekend Celebration.
