NEW ECHOTA STATE HISTORIC SITE PLANS ‘FIRST DAY HIKE’ FOR JANUARY 1ST AND ‘FIRST SATURDAY HIKE’ FOR JANUARY 4TH

New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic will be hosting Trail of Tears ‘First Day Hike’ on January 1st , 2025, 10am-12:30 am. Visitors will join our ranger for the first day hike of 2025 and explore the nature trails here at New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic Site. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history and nature of our beautiful site as they walk on the same grounds that the Cherokee lived on. All ages are invited to join the ranger for this event. The trails will be easy to moderate for most hikers.

New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic will be hosting ‘First Saturday Hike’ on January 4th, 2025, 10am-11:30 am. Visitors will join our ranger for the first Saturday hike of 2025. All ages are invited to join the ranger for this event.

Admission fee for each event is required upon entry of the site: adults (18-61), $8.00, seniors (62+) $6.00, youth (6–17) $6.00.
