Local high school basketball teams’ quest for a Gold Ball in the 71st annual Rome Seven Hills Rotary Christmas Tournament begins today! Listen to coverage on the airwaves of WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM.
The tournament is a long-standing holiday tradition for the community. Matt Davis, WLAQ Sports, attests that it is about much more than basketball. He encourages locals to attend the games and support local teams. Those unable attend are urged to listen on the radio.
WLAQ will broadcast all of today’s games at Shorter University:
4:00 p.m. – Darlington vs. Armuchee (Girls)
5:30p.m. – Model vs. Armuchee (Boys)
7:00 p.m. – Model vs. Pepperell (Girls)
8:30 p.m. – Darlington vs. Pepperell (Boys)
Today’s games at Berry College will not be broadcast on WLAQ. They are as follows:
4:00 p.m. – Calhoun vs. Rockmart (Girls)
5:30 p.m. – Calhoun vs. Rockmart (Boys)
7:00 p.m. – Rome vs. Coosa (Girls)
8:30 p.m. – Rome vs. Coosa (Boys)
The tournament will continue Thursday and Friday with games at Armuchee High School.
