Ice skating continues through mid-January at the Rink at Ridge Ferry Park, which is in the midst of its second season.
The rink is a great location for birthday parties and field trips, enthuses Tyler Stinson, Special Services Manager for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation.
Ice skating is open to the public daily, according to Lindsey Jones, Recreation Services Manager, who urges the public to visit www.rfpra.com for updated hours of operation from week to week.
Hours are additionally posted on Facebook; search for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation.
Admission to the Rink at Ridge Ferry Park costs $12 for children ages 10 and under, $14 for adults, and $75 for a season pass.
The rink is located under a large tent out at the park and features real ice. All visitors are urged to dress warmly and bring some extra socks to have a more comfortable skating experience. Concessions are available, says Stinson.
The Rink at Ridge Ferry Park is made possible through the collaboration of Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation and Atlanta’s Event Specialists.
