ATLANTA HAWKS DROP MONDAY NIGHT OUTING AT HOME TO WASHINGTON WIZARDS, TEAMS TO MEET AGAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN DC

The Atlanta Hawks lost at home to the Washington Wizards by a final score of 121-119 in NBA action on Monday night at the State Farm Arena. It was the second straight loss for Atlanta and the first win of the 2024-2025 regular season for Washington.

Jalen Johnson notched a game-high 29 points and had 12 rebounds for the Hawks, who are now 2-2 on the season. Trae Young missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

Jordan Poole scored a team-high 26 points for the Wizards, who are now 1-2. Kyle Kuzma had 25 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hawks and Wizards will meet again on Wednesday night in Washington, DC; tip off is set for 7 pm.
