Mark those calendars now for Saturday, January 11th, 2025. That is the date of ‘Stars of Rome’, a fashion and talent extravaganza that will feature stars of all abilities. The show is slated for 5 pm at the DeSoto Theatre in downtown Rome. Proceeds will benefit the Mission ISPossible Foundation.
Krista Lovering, event organizer, enthuses that ‘Stars of Rome’ will give kids with special needs an opportunity to showcase their special abilities.
Sponsors, donations, and volunteers are sought for the event, as well as stars, says MIP founder Grant Magness. Complete information is available online at www.starsofrome.com.
Lovering was inspired to create ‘Stars of Rome’ by an Alabama pageant for children with special needs in which her daughter AuBree participated pre-COVID.
AuBree will be among participants in ‘Stars of Rome’, according to Lovering, who says that she is grateful for the abundance of sponsors and volunteers that have already chimed in their support of the event.
And, of course, an audience will be needed to support and applaud the stars on January 11th. Event tickets will be available for purchase at a cost of $30 each.
