Georgia Highlands College looks forward to the 2024-2025 regular season of basketball.
The Chargers will open the regular season on the road on Friday, November 1st and will play their first home game on November 6th, according to Bradley Gilmore, GHC’s Floyd Campus Manager. He urges the public to support the team.
Gilmore expects championship-caliber sports teams under the leadership of Nicole Leverling, GHC’s new Director of Athletics.
The public had an opportunity to get acquainted with Leverling during GHC’s Field Naming Celebration held Sunday to celebrate the official naming of the college’s baseball and softball fields in Cartersville. Former Atlanta Braves pitcher Mark Wohlers was among the guests of honor for that event.
