Three more classes remain for the year 2024 in the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency’s SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy. The public is invited to attend the classes, which are now held monthly in the Emergency Operations Center located at 407 East 12th Street in Rome, GA.
Active Shooter and Emergency Plans will be topics of discussion during the next session on the evening of Tuesday, October 8th from 6-8 pm, according to Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director. Future subject matters will include
Animals in Disaster on Tuesday, November 12th, and Emergency Searches on Tuesday, December 10th.
There is no cost to attend these sessions. Community members are urged to register in advance online at SAFE registration 2024 (google.com).
