FLOYD COUNTY TEEN MAZE SET FOR SEPTEMBER 18TH AND 19TH, COMMUNITY INVITED TO PREVIEW NIGHT ON SEPTEMBER 17TH

Local ninth-graders will participate in the 2024 Floyd County Teen Maze, set for September 18th and 19th in the main gym of Georgia Highlands College’s Rome campus.

Students will learn, via simulations of various life experiences, how choices that they make in high school can affect the rest of their lives. Jennifer Jolly, Executive Director of the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, says that multiple organizations and hundreds of volunteers make this event possible each year.

Teen Maze participants will select from various scenarios, some that involve risky behaviors and result in consequences such as jail, pregnancy, STDs, and even death.

The community is invited to see the Teen Maze during a Preview Night event set for Tuesday, September 17th from 6 pm until 7 pm. Attendees are asked to arrive no later than 5:30 pm.
