Four more classes remain for the year 2024 in the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency’s SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy. The public is invited to attend the classes, which are now held monthly in the Emergency Operations Center located at 407 East 12th Street in Rome, GA.
Human Trafficking and Gang Awareness will be topics of discussion during the next session on the evening of Tuesday, September 10th from 6-8 pm, says Chris Fincher, Floyd EMA Deputy Director.
Future subject matters will include Active Shooter and Emergency Plans on October 8th, Animals in Disaster on November 12th, and Emergency Searches on December 10th, adds Fincher.
