ATLANTA BRAVES NOTCH ANOTHER EXTRA INNING WIN IN SAN FRANCISCO OVER GIANTS

The Atlanta Braves defeated the San Francisco Giants by 4-3 in 10 innings on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a four game set at San Francisco, CA. It was the Braves’ second straight extra-inning win over the Giants.

Ramon Laureano got the Braves on the board with a solo home run in the top of the second. Jorge Soler also contributed an RBI double in that inning. The Giants scored a run in the bottom of the second on a groundout from Patrick Bailey. Travis d’Arnaud hit a solo homer for the Braves in the third.

Tyler Fitzgerald hit a home run to start the bottom of the third for the Giants, who tied the game when LaMonte Wade Jr scored on a wild pitch by Atlanta pitcher Pierce Johnson in the eighth. D’Arnaud had an RBI single that put the Braves ahead by 4-3 in the top of the 10th.

Dylan Lee was credited with the win for Atlanta, and Raisel Iglelsias picked up the save. Starting pitcher Charlie Morton reached a milestone in Tuesday night’s game with his 2,000th career strikeout during the sixth inning. Randy Rodriguez was charged with the loss for San Francisco.
