The Coosa River Basin Initiative will continue to offer its 2024 Swim Guide through Labor Day weekend.
Courtnee Davenport, Director of Outreach, says that the guide offers valuable information on the quality of local waterways. CRBI interns monitor rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water for harmful bacteria every week. She attests that rain has led to higher levels of E.Coli in recent days.
Popular swimming spots covered by the Swim Guide include Lake Allatoona, Lake Weiss, Cedar Creek, and more.
