The United Way of Rome & Floyd County reminds locals who are in need of information about community services – just pick up the phone.
Alli Mitchell, Executive Director, urges the public to call 211 to learn about resources that are available in Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga Counties to those in need of assistance with food, housing, and more.
For some, navigating community resources is a bit easier when they can talk to someone, states Mitchell, who adds that 211 is ideal for anyone that would rather talk to a human being than search for resources online.
Not only is 211 available to those in need of help, it also connects concerned citizens who want to provide help as a volunteer and/or as a donor with local non-profit organizations, says Mitchell.
