ATLANTA BRAVES EXTEND LATEST WINNING STREAK TO FOUR STRAIGHT WITH TUESDAY NIGHT WIN OUT IN ARIZONA OVER DIAMONDBACKS

The Atlanta Braves beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-2 on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a four-game set at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ. It was Atlanta’s fourth straight win.

The Braves got on the board in the top of the second inning as Sean Murphy contributed an RBI groundout and Eddie Rosario scored on an error. Adam Duvall clubbed a three run homer in the top of the sixth.

The Diamondbacks scored both of their runs in the bottom of that inning on an RBI triple by Jake McCarthy and an RBI groundout from Eugenio Suarez. Eli White drove in another run for the Braves with an RBI triple in the top of the eighth.

Chris Sale was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He gave up just two runs and five hits, walked three, and struck out nine in five and one-third innings of work en route to his MLB-best 12th win of the year. Zac Gallen was charged with the loss for Arizona.
