The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center, located at 412 Lavender Drive, will host an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, July 13th. The event is for Rome and Floyd County residents only and will be held from 9 am until all slots are full.
Appointments are required and may be made online via the SignUpGenius link at www.floydcountyga.gov or by telephone at (706) 291-5266 starting on the first business day of next month, according to Emma Wells, Director of Solid Waste for Floyd County. She adds that no household hazardous waste will be accepted this time.
Electronic items collected usually include computers, televisions, recorders, and most peripheral equipment like printers and keyboards, says Wells.
Recyclers without a Floyd County tag should be prepared to show proof of residency or property ownership (license, utility bill, tax bill, etc.).
