ATLANTA BRAVES’ LOSING STREAK EXTENDS TO FIVE STRAIGHT WITH WEDNESDAY LOSS IN BALTIMORE TO ORIOLES

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Baltimore Orioles by 4-2 on Wednesday night in the middle outing of a three-game set at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD. That marked the fifth consecutive loss for Atlanta and the sixth win in a row for Baltimore.

The Orioles scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI groundout from Gunnar Henderson and a fielder’s choice RBI groundout by Adley Rutschman. The Braves tied it at 2-2 with a two-run homer from Matt Olson during the top of the eighth.

However, the Orioles broke that tie in the bottom of the inning on a two-run homer from Colton Cowser and proceeded to win the game, again, by a final score of 4-2.

Atlanta reliever Joe Jimenez was charged with the loss. Keegan Akin picked up the win and Craig Kimbrel got the save for Baltimore.

The Braves will finish their current nine-game road trip with the series finale at Baltimore versus the Orioles this afternoon at 1:05 pm. Listen to play-by-play coverage from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM; airtime is 11:50 am.
