ATLANTA BRAVES BEGIN SET IN BALTIMORE WITH SHUTOUT LOSS TO ORIOLES

The Atlanta Braves were blanked by the Baltimore Orioles by 4-0 on Tuesday evening in the opener of a three-game set in Baltimore, MD. It was the fourth straight loss for the Braves, who were shutout for the second time in the past week. The Orioles have now won five in a row.

Baltimore got on the board with a three-run homer from Jorge Mateo in the bottom of the second inning. They added another run on an RBI single from Austin Hays in the sixth.

Max Fried was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up four runs and six hits, walking two, and striking out three in five innings. Albert Suarez got the win for Baltimore.
