MARCELL OZUNA HOMERS TWICE, BUT ATLANTA BRAVES FALL IN TUESDAY NIGHT OUTING AT CHICAGO TO WHITE SOX

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Chicago White Sox 3-2 on Tuesday night in the middle outing of a three-game series at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, IL. That evened up the set at a game apiece and marked the White Sox’s first win of the year.

Chicago opened up the scoring with an RBI single from Gavin Sheets in the bottom of the sixth inning. Marcell Ozuna hit a solo home run for Atlanta to tie the game in the top of the seventh. Pinch hitter Paul DeJong put the White Sox ahead with a home run to lead off the bottom of that inning. Andrew Vaughn contributed an RBI single to make it 3-1 in favor of Chicago during the eighth. Ozuna hit another solo home run which put the Braves within a run of the White Sox in the ninth. But that’s all she wrote for the Braves, and the White Sox emerged victorious, again, by a final score of 3-2.

Relief pitcher AJ Minter took the loss for Atlanta. Garrett Crochet picked up the win and Michael Kopech got the save for Chicago.
