(Media release from Floyd County Schools, GA):
Tyler Bradley has been named the head boys basketball coach at Coosa High School.
A product of Coosa, Bradley graduated from CHS in 2012 where he went on to play both football and basketball for Reinhardt University. Upon graduating from Reinhardt, Bradley went back to his hometown as a teacher and a coach in the Coosa community.
Last season, he served as the head coach of the Coosa Middle School (CMS) boys basketball team. In January, he was named the interim head coach for Coosa High School, while also continuing his duties with his CMS team. He had much success in his short tenure as interim, leading the Eagles to a 6-6 record to finish the season and a state playoff appearance.
For his willingness to step in, lead, and find success in the later part of the season, Coach Bradley was named the Interim Coach of the Year by the Northwest Georgia Tip-Off Club on Monday.
βI want to take a moment to congratulate Coach Tyler Bradley on both being named the new head coach and the honor of Interim Coach of the Year,β said CHS principal Judson Cox. βIt is all truly a remarkable achievement and a testament to his dedication and leadership. Coach Bradley stepped up for us during the basketball season and played a crucial role in keeping the team on track and guiding them to the state tournament. His commitment to the players and the sport is evident, and his passion never goes unnoticed. We are excited to have him lead the Eagles.β
Over the last few years, Bradley has served as the physical education coach at CMS and an assistant coach in both football and basketball at Coosa High School.
Tyler and his wife, Cameron, have two beautiful daughters, Whitley and Oakley.
