TUNE IN FOR SPRING TRAINING ACTION FROM THE ATLANTA BRAVES RADIO NETWORK ON WLAQ THIS WEEKEND!

The Atlanta Braves beat the Boston Red Sox 3-2 in Spring Training action at Fort Myers, FL on Thursday. Jordan Luplow clubbed a two-run homer in the top of the second inning, while birthday boy Michael Harris II hit a solo shot in the fifth. The Braves will play host to a split squad Pittsburgh Pirates team this afternoon at 1:05 pm in North Port.

WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM will have coverage of Grapefruit League play from the Braves Radio Network over the weekend. The team will take on the Baltimore Orioles in North Port on Saturday, then will head to Tampa to face the New York Yankees this Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm with airtime at 12:55 pm both days.

Ben Ingram, play by play announcer for the Braves Radio Network, said in a recent interview on WLAQ that he is happy to be back in the broadcast booth again this season for the Braves. He enthuses that it’s a great team with some very supportive fans.

WLAQ will broadcast every pitch of the Braves’ ’24 regular season. Opening Day is set for Thursday, March 28th in Philadelphia versus the Phillies.
