Baseball will be back on the airwaves of WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM over the weekend as the Atlanta Braves play their first Spring Training games for this year down in Florida. The Braves will be in Port Charlotte to face the Tampa Bay Rays this Saturday afternoon and on their Grapefruit League home field in North Port versus the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm on both days; airtime is 12:55 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.
Opening Day is now less than five weeks away! The Braves will begin their 2024 regular season on Thursday, March 28th in Philadelphia with an outing against the Phillies.
