Model High School’s girls and boys basketball teams are headed to the first round of the GHSA’s Class AA state playoffs this week, and fans may tune in for coverage of their games on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM.
The Lady Blue Devils will face Therell on Tuesday night at 6 pm. The Blue Devils will take on Drew Charter this Wednesday night at 6 pm. Both games will be played at MHS.
Broadcast coverage will be provided on both nights via the radio and online at www.wlaq1410.com.
Model’s boys clinched another Region 7-AA title with a 73-50 victory over Rockmart in the championship game of the region tournament up at Murray County this past Friday night. Model lost the girls’ championship game to host Murray County by 39-30.
