FIVE ROME-FLOYD COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS HONORED WITH LIFE SAVING AWARDS

A group of Rome-Floyd County Fire Department firefighters were honored on Wednesday for an August act of heroism. According to the City of Rome, GA – Government page on Facebook:

“Five firefighters from Station 7 Woods Road were presented Life Saving Awards for reviving a 73 year old Coosa resident who had fallen unconscious between his car and gas pumps at a station on the Alabama Highway in August of last year.

Chief Troy Brock presented the awards. From left: Jeffry Kennedy, Eric Kines, Capt. Kelly Stokes, Michael Wiese and Brian Penland. We are so thankful for their dedicated and life saving service!”
