ROME-FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH: GET TICKETS NOW FOR THE 2ND ANNUAL “ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 3RD GRADER?” AWARENESS FUNDRAISER

The Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth is encouraging the public to purchase tickets now for the second annual “Are You Smarter Than A 3rd Grader?” Awareness Fundraiser, scheduled for Thursday, April 18th at 6 pm at the Rome City Auditorium.

LaDonna Collins, Executive Director, says that local celebrities will find out if they are smarter than a 3rd grader in this event that was inspired by the TV show “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?”.

View profiles of this year’s celebrity contestants on the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth page on Facebook. These adults will compete against 3rd graders from local schools, says Collins.

This awareness fundraiser is focused on literacy, states Collins, who adds that literacy is important to one’s success in life – and it goes beyond just reading a book.

Tickets are available online at www.givebutter.com/ayst3 at a cost of $10 for each adult and $5 for students ages 5-17. Donations are also accepted on that site.
