Just two months remain until the Rome Emperors open up their 2024 regular season.
This will mark the first season for Rome’s minor league baseball team to take the field as the Emperors. The locals’ response to the team’s name change has been favorable so far, asserts Justin Franklin, Coordinator of Media Relations and Marketing, who hopes to carry that momentum into April.
The name change, officially announced in November of 2023, has generated interest locally and around the world, enthuses Franklin.
Franklin anticipates that some great players will represent the Emperors, the high A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, in 2024. That line up, of course, is yet to be determined…
