ROME POLICE AND OTHER CITY EMPLOYEES HONORED FOR DECADES OF SERVICE, EDUCATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The Rome City Commission and City Manager Sammy Rich recognized dozens of City of Rome employees on Monday night for decades of service as well as educational accomplishments.

On hand were Sgt. Don Davis, who received his 20-year pen for service with the Rome Police Department, and Sgt. Aaron Thacker, who recently received his associates degree.

Several other employees were named, including Investigator Kyle York, recognized for 25 years of service; PFC Taryn Carswell who received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice; and Lt. Joel Stroupe, who received his Masters of Science in Criminal Justice.
