GEORGIA STATE PARKS AND HISTORIC SITES HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH LEAF-PEEPERS THIS FALL, GET OUTSIDE BEFORE THE COLORS OF THE SEASON ARE GONE!

Those who would like to enjoy leaf-peeping around Georgia this Fall need to get outside before the brilliant colors of the season disappear and give way to Winter.

Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites have been busy throughout the season with visitors in search of Fall colors, festivals, and more, attests Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, who recommends visiting a park on a weekday in order to have more space on the trails.

Weekend visitors are advised to arrive at the parks early in order to possibly avoid the crowds.

A photo gallery filled with Fall color is featured in Leaf Watch 2023 on the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites website at www.gastateparks.org. The feature also includes the list of the Top 10 Parks for Fall Color, details about fall festivals, updates from the Georgia Forestry Commission, and more, says Hatcher.

Along with the Fall festivities, Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites have planned a host of activities for the holiday season. Information is available on the website.
