ATLANTA BRAVES’ RUN IN THE 2023 MLB POSTSEASON ENDS WITH A LOSS IN NLDS GAME FOUR AT PHILADELPHIA TO THE PHILLIES

The Atlanta Braves’ run in the 2023 MLB postseason came to an end with a loss to the Philadelphia Phillies by 3-1 in Game Four of the National League Division Series on Thursday night in Philadelphia, PA. The Phillies took that series by 3-1 and are now bound for their second straight NL Championship Series.

The Braves struck first with a solo home run by Austin Riley in the top of the fourth inning.

However, the Phillies tied the game with a solo shot by Nick Castellanos in the bottom of that inning. They took the lead with a solo home run from Trea Turner in the fifth. Castellanos homered again in the sixth.

Spencer Strider was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering three runs and three hits, walking three, and striking out seven in five and two-third innings. Ranger Suarez got the win and Matt Strahm picked up the save for Philadelphia.

Thus ends the ’23 season for the Braves, who went 104-58 during the regular season, clinched a sixth straight division title, and set new records.

The Braves will open the 2024 regular season on Thursday, March 28th up in Philadelphia versus the Phillies. Spring Training begins in February….
