ATLANTA BRAVES BEGIN ROAD TRIP OUT WEST WITH WEEKEND SET IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA VERSUS THE GIANTS

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled night off on Thursday and will begin a 10-game road trip out west tonight with the opener of a three-game set in San Francisco, California against the Giants. Spencer Strider will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta, and Logan Webb will be on the mound for San Francisco. First pitch is slated for 10:15 pm Eastern. The National League East-leading Braves head into the weekend series with an MLB-best record of 82-44. The Giants are 66-61 and in third place of the NL West.

This weekend’s series at San Francisco will be followed for the Braves by a trio of games in Denver, Colorado versus the Rockies early next week and a four-game set in Los Angeles, California against the Dodgers next Thursday night through Sunday.
