ATLANTA BRAVES EVEN NL EAST SET VERSUS NEW YORK METS WITH TUESDAY NIGHT WIN AT TRUIST PARK

The Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Mets 3-2 on Tuesday night in the second outing of a three-game National League East set at Truist Park. That evened the series at a game each.

Eddie Rosario clubbed a two-run homer that got the Braves on the board in the bottom of the second inning. Marcell Ozuna added a solo shot during the bottom of the fifth.

Daniel Vogelbach hit a two-run homer for the Mets off Pierce Johnson during the top of the sixth inning.

Bryce Elder picked up the win for Atlanta. He was charged with one earned run and surrendered just two hits, walked three, and struck out three over five and one-third innings of work. Raisel Iglesias secured the save. Tylor Megill took the loss for New York.

The NL East-leading Braves improved their MLB-best record to 81-44 so far for the 2023 regular season. The Mets remain in fourth place of that division at 59-68.
