Atlanta concluded a six-game homestand this past Wednesday afternoon with a 12-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels in interleague play at Truist Park.
In addition to taking the series versus the Angels by 2-1, the Braves went 5-1 on their homestand.
The National League East-leading Braves head into this weekend’s series in Chicago with the best record in MLB at 69-37 on the 2023 season. The Cubs are 56-53 and in third place of the NL Central.
Atlanta’s series at Chicago will be followed by four games in Pittsburgh with the Pirates next Monday night through Thursday afternoon, then a four-game set in New York versus the Mets next weekend.
