Chief Vann House State Historic Site in Chatsworth will host its Vann House Days 2023 event on Saturday, July 22nd from 10 am to 4 pm. It will feature demonstrations of early 19th century skills such as blacksmithing, weaving, and more, along with self-guided tours of the museum.
Irina Garner, Interpretive Ranger, enthuses that the Vann House celebrates 65 years as a historic site in ’23.
The Chief Vann House was once home to businessman and Cherokee chief James Vann and his family. It is the best-preserved of few remaining Native American plantation homes from pre-removal Georgia, states Garner.
