(Announcement from the City of Rome, GA):
The Rome/Floyd County Fire Department will perform required ISO (Insurance Services Office) flow testing starting July 24 until the end of September.
– The areas that will be tested are shown in the map below in light brown and labeled R-3.
– Because the flow test upsets the sediment in the pipes you may encounter some discoloration coming from your faucets.
– Please run your faucets for a few seconds in case the water has become discolored.
– Before washing cloth, please let the washer run water and then drain before adding cloth.
The Rome Fire Department will work directly with the City of Rome Water Department to ensure the least amount of impact possible.
