ATLANTA BRAVES FALL IN EXTRAS TO CLEVELAND GUARDIANS ON THE 4TH OF JULY

The Atlanta Braves lost to the Cleveland Guardians by 6-5 in 10 innings on Tuesday night in game two of a three-game interleague series in Cleveland, Ohio. That brought Atlanta’s latest winning streak to an end at nine straight games.

Ozzie Albies tied the game twice with a pair of home runs. His two-run shot in the top of the fifth inning made it 2-2, then he had a solo home run to make it 5-5 in the ninth.

However, the Guardians secured the victory on a walk-off single from David Fry.

Raisel Iglesias was charged with the loss for Atlanta. Ennyel De Los Santos picked up the win for Cleveland.

The National League East-leading Braves have an MLB-best record of 57-28 on the ’23 regular season. The Guardians are in second place of the American League Central with a record of 42-43.
