Just 508 new cases of coronavirus and no virus-related deaths were reported in Georgia on Sunday by the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 886,374 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 17,701. The total number of confirmed cases was 10,012 over the past 14 months for Floyd County, which also had 185 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 86,762, while Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,285.
As of the latest update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard on Sunday, 6,561,724 vaccines have been administered across the state; 36 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose of the vaccine, while 28 percent have been fully vaccinated.
