This is the day that the list of those eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine in Georgia expands to include everyone age 16 and over.
Those ready to roll up their sleeves may find a vaccination location and book an appointment to be vaccinated on the Georgia Department of Public Health website, www.dph.georgia.gov/covid-vaccine or by reaching out to their local healthcare provider or pharmacy. Appointments for the mass vaccination sites around the state may be made at www.myvaccinegeorgia.com.
A total of 912 new cases of coronavirus and 75 additional virus-related deaths were reported on Wednesday in Georgia by the state health department.
According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 845,560 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 16,257. In Floyd County, there were 9,705 confirmed cases and 168 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 82,850, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,164.
As of the lastest update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard on Tuesday, over 3.2 million vaccines had been administered statewide.
