The new playground at Ridge Ferry Park is open and ready for use, as stated in a release by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. The new playground was part of the 2017 SPLOST package. Construction began with the removal of old equipment back in August; new equipment, for which the centerpiece is a replica of Rome’s famed Clocktower, arrived back in mid-October. A ribbon cutting has been set for Monday, December 7 at 11 am at the playground.
