The Atlanta Braves wrapped up their final road trip of the regular season with a shut-out win over the New York Mets 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field in Flushing, New York, allowing the Braves to take two out of three games in a weekend series among rivals of the National League East.
Kyle Wright surrendered just one hit over six and one-third scoreless innings, walked one, and struck out six en route to his second major league win.
Ronald Acuna Jr. got the Braves on the board with a solo home run in the top of the sixth.
Acuna contributed a total of four RBIs; he also had a three-run double in the ninth inning.
The Braves, which lead the National League East, will host the second-place Miami Marlins in the opener of a four-game series this evening. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm at Truist Park. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 5:55 pm.
