One thousand people in Georgia have now lost their lives due to coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 24,349 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 3:30 am this morning. There were 1,000 deaths. In Floyd County, there were 134 confirmed cases and 11 deaths. Fulton County led the state in number of confirmed cases with 2,694. The highest number of deaths was reported in Dougherty County, which has had 114.
