Valentines Day is this Friday, February 14th. Kim Hatcher, the Public Affairs Coordinator for Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, urges loving locals to visit the gift shop at a nearby state park for a unique gift that any outdoorsy-type would love. Gift cards are also available; these may be applied towards camping, golfing and more.
A weekend getaway is also a great idea for Valentines Day weekend. Most of the parks are booked for this year. Hatcher indicates that now is a good time to book a campsite, cabin or yurt for 2021. Reservations are taken 13 months in advance at parks around the state.
