Less than a week remains to hit the ice at the Forum River Center! The final day of the Forum On Ice for this holiday season will be January 6, 2020.
Thomas Kislat, Sales Manager for the downtown venue, cordially invites all Romans to ring in the coming New Year rinkside. A New Year’s Eve Party is scheduled for this evening at the Forum On Ice. Admission is $20. Those in attendance will enjoy ice skating (and a 100-foot ice slide), live music by T.J. Cochran and Easy, and a champagne (or grape juice) toast at midnight. All of the family-friendly festivities will get underway at 8 pm. There will also be a balloon drop at that magic moment that 2020 arrives…
And if you don’t plan to stay up late tonight, you and your family may hit the ice this New Year’s Day. The Forum On Ice will be open all day Wednesday, says Kislat. Ice skating is a great way to get a jump start on that resolution to be more active in 2020.

A host of other unique venues around Floyd County will host New Year’s Eve parties tonight, like Cedar Creek RV and Outdoor Center in Cave Spring.
Along with ice skating at the Forum River Center, locals may get a head start on their resolutions to get more exercise in 2020 via participation in any First Day Hike to be hosted by Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites; information is available at www.gastateparks.org. Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation will also host a New Year’s Day Hike at Lock and Dam Park on Wednesday.
