The Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth aims to add to its “friends list” during its annual Membership Drive now underway.
Those who have historically supported the Commission (as well as a number of potential new supporters) can expect to receive letters in the mail over the coming days which bear requests for year-end donations, indicates LaDonna Collins, Executive Director. This fundraiser is one way that the Commission is #Partnering2Empower with community members for the benefit of at-risk youth and families.
This money will be used for the annual Floyd County Teen Maze in October and the Table Talk Teen Forum held every January.
Funding also backs mini-grants given by the RFCCCY to non-profit agencies that serve the youth of Rome and Floyd County, adds Collins.
The RFCCCY’s Annual Luncheon for 2020 has been scheduled for Thursday, January 16th at Restoration Rome (formerly Southeast Elementary School) at 1400 Crane Street. The event is slated to begin at noon with lunch service to start at 11:45 am. Those who plan to attend should RSVP to Collins by email at [email protected].
