Christmas in Lindale 2019 is scheduled for this Saturday, December 7th. The highlights of the festive event will include the sixth annual Lindale Christmas Parade, according to Tim Reynolds, the President of Restoration Lindale, Inc. Line-up begins at 2:30 pm at Pepperell Primary School. Anyone may join the parade, which will start at 3 pm. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three floats. The Pepperell High School band will be among the participants in the parade once again this year.
In the event of rain, the parade will be moved to Sunday, December 8th (with line up at 2:30 pm and parade at 3 pm).
The Star Lighting Ceremony and Festival is also slated for Saturday down in Lindale. The festival will take place from 2 pm to 6 pm along South 1st Street, says Reynolds.
The Star Lighting Ceremony will commence at 5 pm and will culminate with the lighting of the star between the stacks at the old Lindale Mill at 6 pm.
The ceremony and festival will take place rain or shine. If it rains, it will be moved to the Gilbreath Recreation Center on Garden Avenue.
